What types of rooms are available in the hotel and what are the differences between the different categories?
A: There are 5 categories of rooms: Superior, Deluxe, Family Room, Executive Club & Executive Suite.

  • Superior and Deluxe are differentiated by the amenities available:- toothbrush, iron/ironing board and hair dryer are provided in Deluxe.
  • Family Room offers 90sqm of space, 2 bedrooms - 1 King size bed and 2 single beds. Rate on website is for 4 persons, maximum up to 5 persons per room, rollaway bed is available at MYR 115 nett per night.
  • Executive Club comes with access to Executive Club Lounge for complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails and turn down service. Rate on website is for 2 persons, maximum up to 3 persons per room, rollaway bed is available at MYR 150 nett per night.
  • Executive Suite offers 48sqm with separate living/sitting area, includes free access to Executive Club Lounge for breakfast and evening cocktails and turn down service. Rate on website is for 2 persons, maximum up to 3 persons per room, rollaway bed available at MYR 150 nett per night.
  • For Executive Club or Suite room, the exclusive benefits are as follows:-
    • Complimentary Daily Breakfast at the Executive Lounge or Spices@Furama at level 3
    • Complimentary soft drinks, juices, tea, coffee and homemade cookies are available throughout the day at the Executive Lounge
    • Complimentary Evening Cocktails from 6pm to 8pm

Are your hotel rates per room or per person?
A: Room rates are based on per room. Prices shown on the website include 6% Goods & Services Tax (GST). Package Rates are based on per person.

Does my room reservation require any guarantee?
A: Yes, all online bookings require a guarantee. A valid credit card is required to guarantee the booking. For Non-refundable booking, full payment will be charged upon confirmation.

Can I book using my friend’s credit card to make my reservation?
A: Yes, we will require your friend to fill up a 3rd party authorisation form to allow hotel to process the charge.

Can I use Debit Card for room payment and making reservations?
A: No, the hotel only accepts cash and major credit cards. 

How do I cancel my hotel reservation without a charge?
A: If you booked through the hotel website, the terms and conditions on the booking confirmation apply. You may cancel the booking via the hotel website, unless the package booked is prepaid or non-refundable. For bookings made via other channels, kindly make your cancellation via your booking source.

Can I amend my reservation? Is there a penalty fee?
A: If you booked through the hotel website, you may amend your reservation via the website, subjected to the terms & conditions specified on the booking confirmation. For bookings made via other channels, kindly make your amendments via your booking source.

How many people can stay in one room?
A: All rooms (Except Family room) can accommodate a maximum of 3 persons with 1 extra bed in room.
Family room can acommodate up to 5 persons with 1 extra bed in room.

How much is the extra bed?
A: Extra bed is charged at MYR 115 nett per bed per night for Superior, Deluxe & Family Rooms, MYR 150 nett per bed per night for Executive Club & Executive Suite.

I have 2 kids, aged 6 and 14. Do I need to get an extra bed?
A: You are advised to book the Family Room.

I have a reservation under my name, can my friend check-in for me?
A: Yes, however guest is required to inform hotel of the friend’s name before check-in.

Can I pay for my room in different currency?
A: Yes, however the foreign currency will need to be converted to Ringgit Malaysia at the Front Desk in order to make the payment. The currencies accepted for exchange are Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Euro, Renminbi, Sterling Pound, Hong Kong Dollar, Japanese Yen, Singapore Dollar, US Dollar.

Do you offer discounts for a group booking?
A: Yes, for bookings of 8 rooms and above.

Does the internet rate include breakfast?
A: Guest have an option to choose either ‘Room only’ or ‘Room with Breakfast’.

Are the prices shown on the web before or after discount?
A: The rates shown on the hotel website are after discount. There are no hidden charges and booking fees when rates are booked via our official website.

What are the standard check-in and check-out times of the hotel?
A: Check-in time 1400hrs, check-out time 1200hrs.

Is it possible to check-in earlier? If so, what are the charges?
A: It is advisable to pre-book the room a day earlier. Early check-in is subject to availability.

Can I have a late check-out? If so, what are the charges?
A: Guaranteed late check-out at 6pm is chargeable at MYR 150 nett per room. Late check-out after 6pm will be charged at full rate.

Do you offer a room rate for short stays (day use)?
A: No advance booking is accepted. Day use room is subject to availability and rate will be advised on arrival day by reception.

Do you have twin, triple and quadruple rooms?
A: Yes, we do have twin sharing.
Triple sharing with one unit of extra bed in the room.
Family room is a quad sharing room.

Are King size beds available in the rooms?
A: Yes, available upon request and subject to availability.

Do you have rooms with a bathtub?
A: Yes, available upon request and subject to availability.

What television channels are available in the rooms?
A: Local TV Channels (6), CNBC, NHK, CCTV, FOX Sport, Nickelodeon, Vision Four Movies (4)

Do you have hairdryers in the rooms?
A: Yes for Deluxe category and above.

Do you have non-smoking rooms?
A: All rooms are non-smoking.

Are safety deposit boxes available at the hotel?
A: There are in-room safe boxes in all guest rooms.

Do you have a freezer in the room?
A: We have a minibar in the room.

Do you have interconnecting rooms?
A: Yes, available upon request and subject to availability.

Do you offer complimentary wifi?
A: Yes, all guest rooms come with complimentary wifi.

How much is breakfast?
A: Buffet breakfast at Spices @ Furama is priced at RM45 nett (A) and RM22.50 nett (C). Special rate will be accorded for our in house guests if breakfast is not included in the room rates. Please check with our Front Office upon check in.

Do you have rooms for disabled/wheelchair dependent persons?
A: Yes.

Is there a dress code or child policy for the Executive Lounge?
A: The dress code at the Executive Lounge is “smart casual” and it is open to guests aged 12 years and above.

Where is breakfast served and at what times?
A: Breakfast is served at Spices @ Furama located on Level 3, from 0630hrs to 1030hrs.

How many restaurants do you have and what are they?
A: We have an all-day dining restaurant, Spices @ Furama, serving both International and Asian cuisine. It opens daily from 0630hrs to 2300hrs and is located on Level 3.

Is vegetarian cuisine available in the restaurants? 
A: Yes.

Is halal cuisine available in the restaurants?
A: Yes.

Is a special menu available for children?
A: Yes.

Do you have 24-hour room service?
A: Yes.

Is there a swimming pool in the hotel? Operating hours?
A: Yes, it opens from 0700hrs to 2000hrs.

Is there a gym in the hotel? If so, what equipment do you have in the gym? Operating hours?
A: Yes, our hotel is well equipped with treadmills, elliptical trainer, recumbent bike, upright bike, free weights, dumbbells, Leg/Calf Press, Leg Extension/Curl, Multi Press, Multi Lat and Bicep/Tricep. Opening hours from 0600hr to 2200hr. After 2200hr, guest needs to dial Service One to open the door.

Is laundry service provided? 
A: Yes.

Do you have a pet policy?
A: No pets allowed.

Is durian allowed in the hotel?
A: Strictly no durians.

What is your hotel legal age to check-in?
A: 18yrs and above.

Do you have any special packages for honeymoons and anniversaries?
A:

  • Honeymooner / Anniversary Package 1) - 250gm Cake or Fruit bowl, Rose Petals on bed and Balloon = MYR70
  • Honeymooner /Anniversary Package 2) - 250gm Cake or Fruit Bowl, Rose Petals on bed, Balloon and a bottle of Non Alcoholic Sparkling Wine =MYR100

Do you have a tour desk where I can book excursions during my stay?
A: Yes, there is a tour counter in the hotel lobby.

Do you have special facilities and services available for the disabled traveller?
A: We have a room for the disabled traveller.

Can the hotel make arrangements for domestic and international flights? 
A: Our Concierge will assist you to make your flight arrangements.

Where can I print my boarding pass? 
A: You can print the boarding pass at our Executive Lounge and it will be chargable.

Is a doctor available at the hotel?
A: We do not have a doctor in the hotel, however we do have a Doctor On Call service. The doctor’s consultation fee cost MYR300 excluding medication.

Can I get a massage at the hotel?
A: The hotel does not offer massage service.

How far is the nearest hospital to the hotel?
A: The nearest hospital is located 15 minutes away by car.

Where is the nearest bank or currency exchange?
A: Public Bank Berhad is located opposite the hotel.

What is the local currency?
A: Malaysian Ringgit.

At what time do the banks open?
A: Banks open at 9am.

Are there shops at the hotel? 
A: There are no shops in the hotel premise, however there is a 24-hour convenient store (7-Eleven) opposite the hotel.

Are there any golf courses near the hotel? 
A: Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club is approximately half an hour’s drive from the hotel.

Does the hotel provide complimentary newspaper for guest rooms?
A: Yes, the hotel provides The Star newspaper and it is hung outside the room door.

Are meeting rooms available at the hotel?
A: Yes, there are four function rooms located on Level 27 and two small meeting rooms located on Level 25.

Getting to the hotel / Travelling


How long is the journey by taxi from the airport to the hotel and how much is the taxi fare? 
A: The journey from KLIA & KLIA2 to the hotel takes approximately 1 hour and the estimated taxi fare is MYR 100.00.
The journey from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang Airport) to the hotel takes approximately 40 minutes and the estimated taxi fare is MYR 60.00.

Do you have complimentary airport transfers? 
A: No, we do not.

How do I get to the hotel from the nearest mrt station?
A: The hotel is approximately 15 minutes walking distance from the Hang Tuah Monorail Station and approximately 10 minutes walking distance from the Imbi Monorail Station.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport? 
A: You can travel directly to the hotel from the airport by the airport taxi. Other modes of transport are by coach or by the KLIA Express train. The coach and train stops at the Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station where you will then proceed to take a taxi to the hotel.  

How much parking space is available at the hotel?
A: 5 floors of covered parking space is available.

Is parking complimentary for room guests / non-room guests who dine at the Food & Beverage outlets? 
A: Room guests enjoy complimentary parking while non-room guests who dine at the Food & Beverage outlets pay a flat rate of MYR 7.00.

Are there any shuttle buses to shopping areas? 
A: The hotel provides a daily one-way shuttle service to KLCC, Pavilion and Berjaya Times Square, departing from the hotel at 1500hrs.
It is advisable to make a prior booking with the Concierge.  

What is the best way to get around the city?
A: By taxi or train.

Is a child seat compulsory for use in cars in Kuala Lumpur? 
A: A child seat is not compulsory, however seat belts are compulsory.

Is a babysitting service available?
A: Yes.

A: Baby cot is complimentary.

Do you have Kids Room/Area in the hotel?
A: Yes, we have a kids play corner located on the ground floor (lobby level).

A: Yes, we do.

What is the GST refund system in Malaysia?
A: Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS)
This scheme allows tourists to claim GST paid on goods purchased and brought back to their respective countries by air mode only.
Who are entitled to claim for GST refund under TRS

  • Foreign tourist (neither a citizen nor a permanent resident of Malaysia).
  • Not a member of the cabin or flight crew of the aircraft leaving Malaysia.
  • Students entering or staying in Malaysia on a student pass subject to condition that the goods are taken out of Malaysia within 3 months from the date of purchase.
  • A foreign diplomat departing from Malaysia permanently subject to condition that the goods are taken out of Malaysia within 3 months from the date of purchase or completion of service.

What are the goods that qualify for claim under TRS
Claims for refund can be made on all goods for which GST has been paid with the exception of the following:-

  • Wine, spirits, beer and malt liquor.
  • Tobacco and tobacco product.
  • Jewellery, precious metal and gems stone.
  • Goods consumed in Malaysia wholly or partially.
  • Goods consumed in Malaysia wholly or partially.

Where to claim for GST refund
All claims can be made from refund agents located at the Malaysian International Airports. 
When to claim
Upon leaving Malaysia by air mode only. 
How to claim for the GST refund
Criteria:-

  • The goods is purchased at the approved TRS outlets.
  • Must hold a valid tax invoice endorsed by the operators of the TRS outlets.
  • Spend at least MYR 300.00 at any approved outlet.
  • Depart with the goods through any international airport within 3 months from the date of purchase.

Verification by customs

  • The goods must be presented for certification by the customs officers at the airport located in the departure lounge after immigration clearance.
  • For bulky item which need to be packed and checked in as luggage, the goods must be presented for certification by customs at the GST Refund Inspection Counter located in the departure hall before the check in.

Submission of claim

  • The application form can be obtain from the Customs Inspection Counter located in the departure hall before the check in or at the TRS refund agent at the airport or at any approved TRS outlet.
  • The complete application form has to be submitted to the TRS refund agent located in the departure lounge after immigration clearance.
  •  Claim can be made after departure from Malaysia by mailing the endorsed refund form within 2 months from date of endorsement.  

Mode of refund

  • Cash refund for claim below MYR 300.00
  • For claim exceeding MYR 300.00, the refund can be made through following option:-  Bank cheque / Credit card account /  Bank account.

Is it safe to drink tap water in Malaysia?
A: Yes it is however it is still advisable to boil it first before drinking.

What is the weather like at different times of the year?
A: The weather in Kuala Lumpur is hot and humid. Rain can fall at almost any time throughout the year. Temperatures in Kuala Lumpur are fairly steady throughout the year, averaging between 22°C and 32°C.

What should I wear in Malaysia?
A: Thin cotton fabric, light weight material due to the humid weather. When visiting religious places of worship, it is a must to be fully clothed.

Shopping and Tourist Facilities


Are there any major shopping centres near the hotel? If so, where are they?
A: Yes, Berjaya Times Square, Sungei Wang, Lot 10.
Berjaya Times Square is located adjacent to the hotel and is a 5 minute walk away while Sungei Wang is approximately a 10 minute walk and 15 minute walk to Lot 10.

How far is the hotel from the main shopping area?
A: It takes approximately 10 minutes by taxi to Pavilion and 20 minutes by taxi to Suria KLCC.

Is the hotel far from the MRT?
A: No.

Are you close to the entertainment venues?
A: A popular area is called Changkat Bukit Bintang that houses many trendy and upmarket bars and restaurants all along a single street. It is approximately a 10 minute drive from the hotel.

Can we book sightseeing tours directly at the hotel?
A: Yes, there is a sightseeing & tour desk located in the hotel’s lobby.
