While heading to the zoo, Sentosa or Gardens by the Bay can be a fun experience for the entire family, it can also get rather repetitive. Instead of heading to the usual attractions, we’ve curated a list of 5 unique places that you can head to in Singapore.

Be amazed at Jewel Changi Airport

While there are plenty of shopping malls in Singapore, Jewel Changi Airport is unlike any other. Recently opened in April 2019, this multi-dimensional destination is not only filled with attractions for the entire family, but it also has unique retail and dining concepts to keep everyone satiated.
Start off at the Shiseido Forest Valley where you’ll be able to explore an eternal spring that’s located within Jewel Changi Airport. Take a walk through the different trails, and immerse yourself in a lush green sanctuary that’ll take you out of the buzzing Singapore metropolis and into a calming, and rejuvenating retreat. There are also plenty of photo-taking opportunities along the trails for the entire family.
After strolling through the Shiseido Forest Valley, you can then head to the HSBC Rain Vortex and be in awe of a 40-meter-high waterfall that’s also the tallest indoor waterfall in the world. After marvelling at the waterfall, the entire family can enjoy a light and sound show in the evening that will be projected onto the sheet of water.
There are a plethora of other attractions at Jewel Changi Airport Singapore that will be opening in June 2019. The entire family will be able to bounce on a giant trampoline, where you’ll even feel like you can touch the stars. There will also be a hedge maze that the entire family can wander through. After you’re done exploring all the attractions, take a walk through the rest of Jewel Changi Airport to explore the interesting shops or head to one of the many restaurants and feast on some culinary delights.
Explore the Air Force Museum

Think of museums in Singapore, and usually, the National Gallery Singapore, National Museum of Singapore, and the ArtScience Museum come to mind. Did you know, however, that there’s also an Air Force Museum here? Filled with history, heritage, and values that embody the Republic of Singapore Air Force, the Air Force Museum is the perfect place for the family to head to for a fun-filled day.
At the Singapore Air Force Museum, you’ll learn how the Singapore Air Force grew into one of the most formidable air forces in the world. You’ll also feast your eyes on some vintage aircraft displays from Singapore’s first fighter jet – the Hawk Hunter, to the T-33 Shooting Star, and the A4 Sky Hawk. Remember to take a peek at the different ranks and unifoAs you learn more about the history of the Singapore Air Force, the children will be able to interact with displays and participate in role-playing games to further their learning. Milk goats at Hay Dairies

With Singapore being such a bustling city with tall skyscrapers, the idea of a dairy farm for goats may sound impossible. There is, however, a hidden gem called Hay Dairies that’s also Singapore’s family-friendly goat farm. Here, you’ll be able to have a tour and learn about the process of milking, while saying hello to the many goats that live on the farm.
The goats are treated with care and are housed in roomy spaces with plenty of natural light and air. Milking of the goats takes place once per day, with each goat producing about 3 litres of milk. You can even purchase some fresh goat milk to take home for the day.
As the milking sessions are usually in the morning between 9 am and 1030am, you’ll want to head to the farm a little earlier. Children will be guided through the 20-minute milking sessions that are also complimentary. You’ll also be able to feed the goats by purchasing a $5 packet of Alfalfa Hay. Either than feeding, and milking the goats, the entire family can also purchase some souvenirs at the farm entrance to commemorate their visit. While you’re there, don’t forget to also check out the rest of the other farms in the Kranji area.
Zip through the trees at Forest Adventure

Enjoy a fun day out with the entire family by zipping through the trees in tropical Singapore. At forest adventure, you’ll have an unforgettable day at the outdoors, that’s sure to unlock personal achievements, and keep the entire family’s adrenaline pumping.
There is a total of three different courses at Forest Adventure to whet your appetite. For children aged 5 to 9 years old, they may want to start out at the children’s course that’s filled with 22 crossings and two zip lines. The second course is the Junior Course that’s perfect for individuals that aren’t quite ready to tackle the Grand Course. Here, you’ll tackle 26 obstacles, and take a zip line that goes over the water. The Grand Course is great for those looking for an exhilarating adventure. You’ll conquer 44 obstacles, along with 3 zip lines that are sure to take you on an action-packed adventure.
Forest Adventure is open every day except for Monday from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. After expending all your energy on this incredible adventure, you can quench your thirst with drinks and ice creams that are available on site. If you need to fuel up with some food, there’s a bistro called Wawawa by the reservoir that’s sure to have food that’ll fill everyone’s tummies.
Splash through Wild Wild Wet

Instead of going to your usual neighbourhood playground, why not head to Wild Wild Wet for a splashing good time for the entire family? There are plenty of attractions that are sure to keep the entire family having a rip-roaring good time for the entire day.
Adrenaline junkies can take a near vertical drop at the Free Fall attraction with speeds of up to 50 feet per second. No wonder this attraction is also known as one of Asia’s longest free-fall water slides. Looking to be a little competitive? There’s also the Kraken Racers where the entire family can zip down the slide lanes, and see who reaches the finish line first. Younger children can head to the children’s zone that’s filled with milder rides, and a water paradise that’s sure to keep them entertained. There’s also a water playground filled with slides, water cannons, ladders, and fountains. The area around the water playground also has a comfortable depth of 0.3 metres so you won’t have to worry about your child excitedly exploring the area.
