Singapore turns 61 on Sunday, 9 August 2026, and the National Day Parade is returning to the National Stadium for the first time in about a decade, under the theme “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!” Alongside the official festivities, hotels and attractions across the island are marking the occasion with their own National Day deals. Here's a look at what's on for SG61 — from the official celebrations to where to eat, drink and play, including National Day promotions at Furama Riverfront and Furama City Centre.

The Official Celebrations

Back at the National Stadium. NDP 2026 moves back to the National Stadium at the Sports Hub, with a larger audience capacity and an indoor drone light show alongside the usual mobile column, live performances and fireworks.

No ticket, no problem. With rehearsals already underway, tickets to the main show are hard to come by at this point. The parade's community celebrations are consolidated at the Kallang precinct from 25 July to 9 August, with performances, light displays and exhibitions open to the public daily, no ticket required.

An island-wide treasure hunt. The Majulah Hunt sends participants to more than 61 locations across Singapore, running until 10 August with prizes to be won.

Flags, Funpacks, and no vouchers this year. Free Singapore flag giveaways are available at various collection points, and NDP Funpacks feature artwork designed by local artists with disabilities, distributed through community clubs. Unlike SG60 last year, there's no indication of a repeat cash voucher scheme for SG61 — but between the free official activities and the deals below, there's still plenty to make the celebrations feel worthwhile.

Where to Eat

Two buffets, one celebration. Make the most of the long National Day weekend at Kintamani Restaurant, Furama RiverFront. Where to Drink

FuramaFirst members enjoy a special rate of $48 nett per person (usual price $61++), making it an easy way to unwind and celebrate before the long weekend.

Double the Sling, Double the Cheers. No National Day celebration is complete without Singapore's iconic cocktail. After all, two Slings are always better than one. Grab your drinking buddy and toast to Singapore with the nation's most iconic cocktail.

Local bites and ice-cold beers. For a relaxed celebration in the city, head to Lobby Lounge at Furama City Centre. Share the Taste of Singapore Platter for $61++ for two, complete with two beers or mocktails, and elevate the experience by adding Singapore's iconic Singapore Sling for just $6.10++ per glass.

If beer is more your style, the Beer Bundle (available 1–31 August) offers six Tiger Beers for $61++, accompanied by a complimentary satay platter and half-dozen chicken wings—a classic combination for gathering with friends and toasting Singapore's birthday.

Where to Play

Relive the Kampung Spirit. National Day is the perfect time to revisit the games that defined childhood for generations of Singaporeans. On 8 and 9 August (12pm–6pm), both Furama RiverFront and City Centre transform their lobby into a nostalgic play corner where families can enjoy classic favourites like Five Stones and Congkak. Whether you're teaching the little ones how to play or reliving your own childhood memories, there are also small prizes to be won along the way.

👉 Drop by with the family and see who reigns supreme at these timeless Singaporean games!
